Dear citizens,

On Tuesday evening, the Township Council adopted the 2022 budget for the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet, which includes a 2.5% increase in property taxes. This represents an average increase of approximately $33.86 per residence.

Among the highlights of the budget, council allocated $4,039,770 for capital projects. This will allow for the repair of 11 municipal roads, the purchase of essential equipment for the protection of the population for the fire and public works departments,...
