The current weather conditions are making clean-up easier for our team. The Township of Alfred and Plantagenet officially lifts the declaration of a significant weather event under section 16.9 of Ontario Regulation 239/02.
A huge thank you to the Public Works team who have been working hard since the storms began. We would also like to thank residents for their patience during this period.
Following heavy snowfalls on February 12, 13, 15 and 16, The Township of Alfred and Plantagenet declared a significant weather event. The purpose of this declaration was to inform the public that caution should be exercised when travelling on the Township's roads and pathways, and that it may take longer to restore them to their expected condition.
