The Township of Alfred and Plantagenet is located within the United Counties of Prescott and Russell, in Eastern Ontario. It is made up of seven bilingual villages including Alfred, Curran, Lefaivre, Pendleton, Plantagenet, Treadwell and Wendover.
For those who seek a more rural setting, the Township is crisscrossed by quiet country roads and lanes which, along with the banks of the Ottawa and South Nation Rivers, all offer great sites for homes or cottages. Curran and Pendleton |
Curran and Pendleton are located 50 minutes away from downtown Ottawa and home to many commuters. These small towns are filled with community spirit that can be felt during their famous annual Market in August and September. For those who seek a more rural setting, Curran and Pendleton are great places to live and raise a family. Surrounded by many agricultural fields, residents of Curran and Pendleton embrace nature while still having great activities nearby such as the Nation Golf Club and the Gatineau Gliding Club Airport. |
Lefaivre and Treadwell |
Lefaivre and Treadwell are located 50 minutes and 1 hour away from downtown Ottawa. The Lefaivre Ferry allows residents to travel easily to Plaisance, Montebello, Gatineau and Mirabel on the other side of the Ottawa river.
