Notice of Consultation - Revision of Building Permit Fees

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet will hold a public meeting on the 21^st day of November 2023, commencing at 4:30 p.m. in the Township Hall Conference Room, at 205 Old Highway 17 to consider proposed changes to Building Permit Fees imposed under Section 7 of the Building Code Act.

THE PURPOSE and EFFECT of this meeting is to give the public an opportunity to review the proposed revisions to the Building Department fee schedule. The Building Code Act authorizes a municipality to impose fees to reasonably recover costs to administer and enforce the Building Code Act.

ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and make written or verbal representation, commentary, or feedback at the meeting.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION will be provided at the meeting on the estimated costs of enforcing and administering the Building Code Act, the amount of the proposed fee(s) and the rationale for changing and/or imposing fees.
