The Township of Alfred and Plantagenet provides winter operations for most of our roads. The Township public works department patrols, plows, and spreads de-icers. United Counties of Prescott and Russell are responsible for winter maintenance of the county road.

Mailboxes

Standard mailboxes are replaced if damaged by Township equipment. Note that the Township does not accept responsibility for damages caused by the impact of snow on a mailbox during our regular snow plow operations. Mailboxes should be constructed to withstand the impact of snow from the snow plow operations. If your mailbox has been damaged by a snow plow, take a picture of the box and contact us.
